PSP conducted a site investigation/ site survey of existing conditions at Wright Gate at Joint Base Myer Henderson Hall and provided a detailed report to include a concept design. Developed and delivered a 65%, 95%, and Final Work Plan to include complete project drawings, specifications, product data, site plans, and other data. Delivered the Issued for Construction drawings and specifications.
Removed and disposed of the existing AVB system, properly restored the area of removal to the level required by the installation footprint of the new AVBs, and installed functional electric finger wedge-type AVB system in accordance with design guidance received from JBMHH DES and DPW staff, JBMHH Environmental, and with all applicable standards and specifications. PSP installed the new AVB system to cover the inbound and outbound lanes and included controls, control software, safety loops, shelters to protect control systems, EFO Station, power connections, communication connections, signage, pavement markings, drainage systems, warning lights, safety systems and connection to existing traffic control signals. PSP provided an uninterruptible power supply for the AVB system and other required loads, and conducted a PVT on the installed system.
Provided and installed a new 6’ x 6’ UL Level III Ballistic Resistant Overwatch Booth, including brick masonry finish, AVB control system connectivity, and HVAC systems in accordance with design guidance generated by the ACP Standard, JBMHH and CEHNC. PSP removed and disposed of the existing over watch booth.
Performed performance verification testing (PVT) of all installed or integrated equipment, provided the QC Manager and Superintendent roles on-site, conducted on-site system-specific O&M training, and prepared the As-Built Drawings.
PSP completed the installation of ten M50 crash-rated active vehicle barriers (AVB) with associated controls at Schriever AFB in Colorado. The company’s Project Team worked closely with the AVB manufacturer and General Contractor to make design adjustments for unforeseen site conditions, ensuring Client expectations were met.

Developed and delivered a 65%, 95%, and Final Work Plan to include complete project drawings, specifications, product data, site plans, and other data. Provided and installed a complete new active vehicle barrier (AVB) system at Main Gate, to include six (6) wedge-type AVB systems, electric power units (EPU), uninterruptible power supply (UPS), a stand-alone CCTV system, an integrated overspeed and wrong way detection system, custom AVB control system, warning signs and barrier signals, overhead lighting, pavement markings, and all related power and signal infrastructure to support the new equipment.
Provided and installed a new 6’ x 6’ UL Level III Ballistic Resistant Guard Booth, to include 3’ x 5’ concrete foundation, brick masonry finish, and capacity for the AVBCS Master Operator Panel.
Provided and installed a new passive vehicle barrier (PVB) system at Main Gate, to include 39 crash-rated fixed bollards, four (4) 18’ wide crash-rated beams, and over 1,100 linear feet of crash-rated post and cable barrier system.
Performed performance verification testing (PVT) of all installed or integrated equipment, provided the QC Manager and Superintendent roles on-site, conducted on-site system-specific O&M training, and prepared the As-Built Drawings.

Provided and installed a complete new active vehicle barrier (AVB) system at ACP 1, to include four (4) wedge-type AVB systems, hydraulic power units (HPU), uninterruptible power supply
(UPS), a stand-alone CCTV system, an integrated overspeed and wrong way detection system, custom AVB control system, warning signs and barrier signals, overhead lighting, pavement markings, new concrete curb to establish a proper clear zone, and all related power and signal infrastructure to support the new equipment.
Provided and installed a new electronic variable message display board at each of eight (8) separate ACPs, to include new electrical service, wireless control, and centralized control from a single location via a dedicated fiber optic cable network.
Provided and installed a total of seven (7) non-rated traffic control drop arms at a total of four (4) locations. Traffic arms are a mixture of manually operated and automatic systems.
Provided and installed two (2) new external EFO operator panels as an extension to the existing AVB control systems at ACP 4 and ACP 7 respectively, allowing operation of the existing AVBs from the vehicle inspection area at each ACP. Modified the existing master operator panel (MOP) to incorporate the new panels, to include the ability to enable and disable the panels.
Removed the existing UPS from each of eight (8) existing Gatehouses across eight (8) separate ACPs. Rewired the existing electrical distribution system to allow continued operation of all systems after the UPS has been removed.
Provided and installed two (2) new 52’ x 70’ x 11’ storage canopies, complete with gutters and downspouts, overhead power reels, overhead lighting, new electrical distribution system, gravel floor, and grounding.
Provided and installed a 26’ wide manually operated, counterweighted, crash-rated beam-type active vehicle barrier at ACP 8.
Performed performance verification testing (PVT) of all installed or integrated equipment, provided the QC Manager and Superintendent roles on-site, conducted on-site system-specific O&M training, and prepared the As-Built Drawings.

Provided all labor, materials, and equipment required to design and construct a passive vehicle barrier (PVB) system at ACP 4.
Provided a design for an active vehicle barrier (AVB) system in accordance with all current and applicable federal, state, and local regulations, criteria stipulated in the UFC, international building codes, and SCDOT standards. Provided a fully functional electrically operated wedge-type AVB system to cover the inbound and outbound lanes to include controls, control software, safety loops, shelters to protect control systems, EFO Station, power connections, communication connections, signage, pavement markings, drainage systems, warning lights, safety systems and connection to traffic signal systems. Provided Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) that provides at least 10 minutes of battery backup. Upgraded the existing electrical distribution system to correct code deficiencies and provide the necessary service for new equipment. Installed a new overwatch parking area complete with AVB system operator panel, accessory outlet, and lines of sight to all areas of the response zone. Provided and install an overwatch CCTV system for the new AVB system. Provided and installed an integrated overspeed and wrong way detection system designed to satisfy all four (4) defined threat scenarios. Developed and delivered a 65%, 95%, and Final Work Plan to include complete project drawings, specifications, product data, site plans, and other data. Delivered the Issued for Construction drawings and specifications.
Removed and disposed the existing AVB system and entire foundation. Borrow utilized to fill excavated areas and those exposed by removal of the existing foundation shall meet the requirements of AASHTO M147-65.
Installed fully functional electrical wedge-type AVB systems to cover the inbound and outbound lanes including controls, control software, safety loops, battery back-up, connection to existing generator, shelters to protect control systems, cold weather modifications, EFO Station, power connections, communication connections, signage, pavement markings, drainage systems, heating systems, warning lights, safety systems and connection to traffic signal systems. Provided Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) that provides at least 10 minutes of battery backup. Installed a custom air induction system and rigid insulation to prevent frost heave from compromising the integrity of the AVB foundation and pathways. Provided an arctic heat system for the barrier, to include panel heat, augmented AVB heat and insulation for critical components, and heated drains. Performed performance verification testing (PVT) of all installed or integrated equipment, provided the QC Manager and Superintendent roles on-site, conducted on-site system-specific O&M training, and prepared the As-Built Drawings.
